Spiritual Guide Provides Key to Unlocking Doors to Wisdom; Wally and Jenny Richardson Release New Book

coverRichardsonPtI

Dog Ear Publishing releases “The Path to Illumination” by Wally and jenny Richardson.

Readers gain a tool to change their lives in this new book by a husband and wife team and spirit channel released by Dog Ear Publishing. This amazing resource blends spirit channeling, Christianity and meditation.

The search for truth sometimes brings nothing but additional questions, including where to begin the search. Those who want illumination now have another avenue to explore: This new book by a husband and wife that guides readers to higher knowledge and spiritual awareness.

“The Path to Illumination” blends Christian beliefs with aspects of other spiritual traditions to create a new way of thinking about illumination. The authors compare the process of acquiring a new outlook on life, other people and oneself to a sculptor creating a new piece, chipping away negative emotions such as hate, racial prejudice and greed – making the reader less likely to create negative thoughts. “Lust for the baser emotional responses can be rechanneled to lusting for higher knowledge,” they write. “Desire for physical and material manifestations can be changed to desire for spiritual awareness.”

While writing the book, the trio each played a role, channeling higher forces through meditation and prayer with the help of spirit channel Lenora Huett, who identified one force as the Master of the Mind and another as the Master of Glory, which tapped an even higher state of consciousness. The book touches on many aspects of seeking truth and is divided into sections on illumination, reincarnation, creative energy, prayer and meditation, the aura, universal laws, the wheel of life and the Bible. The authors employed a free-flowing, question-and-answer format for their work, stimulating readers to more deeply explore issues that block their own personal spiritual growth, pointing them toward their ultimate goal of illumination.

Author Wally Richardson, a retired Navy fighter and United Air Lines pilot and businessman, is a longtime student of metaphysical teachings. Co-author Jenny Richardson has thoroughly studied comparative religions and healing techniques through the powers of the mind and the vegetable kingdom. She also studies auras. The pair teamed up with Lenora Huett, an experienced spiritual channel who has since died. The Richardsons also wrote “The Spiritual Value of Gem Stones,” “Revelations Revealed” and “Physician, Heal Thyself.” They are working on “What You Do, Makes You What You Are.”

John LaRizzio Releases New Book Celebrating Nature’s Hold on Humanity

coverLaRizzio

Dog Ear Publishing releases “Silhouettes and Seasons: Essays and Images of a Personal Nature” by John LaRizzio

In a series of essays and black and white photographs in this new book released by Dog Ear Publishing, a former corporate engineer shares his experience of soul searching in relation to the natural world.

Writing allows people to express themselves, sharing their innermost contemplations both mundane and extraordinary. In this new collection of essays and poems, author John LaRizzio shares the deep connection he feels to nature and his years of searching to uncover his inner self. He describes his work as the “unprompted prose of a plain man’s contemplation” and urges others to explore their own spiritual and philosophical tendencies.

In “Silhouettes and Seasons: Essays and Images of a Personal Nature,” chronological notations provide a context and authenticity to the thoughts and emotions expressed. His writing ranges from comparing a lonely commute home from work to the journey of life, to a poem lamenting the last eve of October or an essay about a search for his faithful (and necessary) eyeglasses. Despite their seeming disparity, LaRizzio stays true to his vision, offering what he calls “an open view of a seeker’s heart along the path toward authentic self-expression.”

Flowers show off their petals and trees line a lonely wooded path in the striking black and white photographs LaRizzio took that accompany the book, adding their own voices to his message of nature’s connection to inner selves. As he writes, his essays and poems “display the ruminations of a mind in soulful contemplation, complexities of thought that lead (him) to connect the world without to the one that dwells within.”

Author John LaRizzio spent 35 years in the corporate world before pursuing other things such as writing and nature photography. LaRizzio, a graduate of Penn State University, is a former project engineer, engineering manager and director of engineering for a major U.S. company. Although nature has had a large role in his life since childhood, once he read the works of Henry David Thoreau, LaRizzio’s view of life changed forever.

New Poetry Volume Showcases Emotions of Everyday Life

Dog Ear Publishing releases “Shallow Thoughts” by Joan Pond.

Joan Pond presents her latest collection of poems in this new book released by Dog Ear Publishing.

Poetry offers the power of words to capture powerful emotion and feeling. This new collection of poems from Joan Pond is no exception and includes her perspective on everything from conversations with her grandmother to the death of a loved one, art therapy and personal ads.

“Shallow Thoughts” features light-hearted poems, showcasing Pond’s sense of humor. Her poem “Furniture Abuse,” triggered by a sign for a missing sofa, asks if it was unhappy at home. She writes, “Perhaps a furniture intervention would have been in order. Psychologists would say, re-upholstering could bolster the ego.” The selection “Bringing in the Sheaves” pokes fun at the bouffant hair and sparkly clothes espoused by women who sing for Jesus. “They don’t look like the folks at work, or the people shopping at the local K-Mart,” she writes. “I can’t help wonder why and where, those ladies get their hair poofed for Jesus.”

Pond opens her heart to write about her former husband, Sewall, who has retreated into a shell, thanks to his autism. As she notes in the poem “Egocentrism,” “Sewall’s power is unimaginable, yet it is all in his mind.” In “Chocolate Bunnies,” she compares herself to a hollow chocolate bunny with no heart her brother ate as a child. “That’s exactly how I felt as I drove down the street, and Sewall’s house vanished. I knew I wouldn’t be coming back for I was empty and I just didn’t have the heart to tell him.”

Author Joan Pond, who studied at Yale University, lives in New Milford, Conn. She has written numerous volumes of poetry. Her heartfelt poems, written about topics from the extraordinary to the everyday, speak volumes.
