Dog Ear Publishing releases “Frieda Tales Volume I: Frieda Goes to Town and Frieda, Jack, & the Box” by Kimberly Baltz.
A kind-hearted fox and her friends star in two stories in this new illustrated children’s book released by Dog Ear Publishing.
Author Kimberly Baltz draws on her poetry skills to tell two heartwarming stories in this new children’s book inspired by a fox who regularly visits her family’s home in Grand Lake, Colo. In the first tale, Frieda the fox notices that the people in town do not get along. When a watery disaster threatens the town, she wonders if everyone can work together to save their home. In the second story, Frieda must help a friend whose curiosity about a mysterious box in the woods gets him into trouble.
“Frieda Tales Volume I” teaches gentle lessons about cooperation, friendship and treating each other with kindness. The easy-flowing rhymes make reading aloud fun as the stories unfold. Charming illustrations by Marty Petersen enhance this treat for the eyes and ears. Children and adults will enjoy hearing about the adventures of Frieda, whose real-life counterpart lives next to Rocky Mountain National Park in Grand Lake, Colo. Residents of Grand Lake often see her walking down Main Street.
Author Kimberly Baltz has been writing children’s stories since she was 8. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and attended the University of Colorado School of Law.
